Scientist - Molecular Biology

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform basic immunological assays such as: FACS analysis and sorting, ELISA.
- Perform basic biochemistry techniques such as western blotting, gel shift, IHC and immunoprecipitation assays
- Hands on molecular biology techniques such as: RNA and DNA isolation, primer design, cloning, PCR and Real Time PCR.
- Ability to understand the scientific literature involving projects and ability to design experiments based on published protocols.
- Ability to analyze data and understand the final results
- Document data in lab notebook in an organized manner and ensure periodic peer review.
- Present data for review, group discussions, and team meetings.
- Multi-task effectively and prioritize multiple projects with guidance.

SKILLS:

- 4-7 years MS Word experience required
- BS/Msc/PhD in Immunology or related field with a minimum of 3+ years of laboratory experience.
- Background in molecular biology is preferred.
- A minimum of 2+ years hands on experience with cell culture.
- Experience with performing cell based assays in vitro.
- Experience in generating and maintaining immune cell cultures as well as cell lines.
- Strong skills in FACS techniques, sorting and analyses
- Experience with Diva and flowjo software is preferable.
- Highly motivated with a strong attitude towards learning.
- Must be able to work productively in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility, communication skills are essential.
