SCIENTIST IV needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in RIDGEFIELD, CT.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience Pharmacology/Immunology, skilled in assay development
- HTS experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Independently plans, executes, troubleshoots and transfers assays, or automated systems, evaluates new technologies and proposes solutions to assay or liquid handling problems.
- Proposes and obtains compound profiling team support for new assays, technology, processes, methods, or automated systems.
- Interprets results, efficiently troubleshoots assays and liquid handling processes, and writes protocols for new and transferred assays.
- Maintains efficient laboratory operation and performs Compound Profiling/Medicinal Chemistry support functions.
- Communicates and presents own work at group, department, and project teams, and contributes to writing papers and technical reports.
- Contributes specific technical or scientific knowledge to the success of compound profiling group.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Master's Degree with six (6+) years experience or Bachelor's Degree with ten (10+) years or equivalent experience in assay-related science or technology
- Demonstrated knowledge of assay development or laboratory automation and ability to independently optimize relevant assays, high-throughput screens, or automated systems (a lack of HTS experience could be compensated by demonstrated exceptional ability to develop low-throughput assays and assay systems)
- Understands biology, technology, and scientific literature as they relate to assays and processes.
