SC Cleared Air Cost Analyst - 12 Months - Hampshire

We are currently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Air Cost Analyst to provide cost analysis in support of the Air Account.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide cost analysis and evidence based decision making for research in the Air Domain. This role requires the individual to develop good working relationships and rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and customers across the MOD community and work across departments.

The individuals will be required to engage with stakeholders and customers to aid the development of solutions across the costs and TLCM community and to provide coherent advice. This will be achieved through a cross-boundary approach that utilises and further extends networks externally to deliver optimum solutions.

The successful candidates will be called upon to support a variety of Air Platforms' requirements currently and into the future with continuing funding and demand.

They will need to extract data to include costs from relevant sources, which form the input into relevant cost models/tools for analysis and decision support to critical studies and questions.

They will assist with the further development of capabilities in providing cost advice for conventional air-ground weapon systems

This will involve exploiting the output from a number of sources to ensure common scope and assumptions. Included in this is support to cost analysis as required in other departments.

These roles will work alongside the permanent Cost Analyst in order to develop their knowledge of the data sources, models and tools so that they can maintain and expand this area.

SKILLS:

Essential:

Confident, professional presentation style, capable of communicating complex issues clearly and concisely.

Experience of whole life costing including Treasury Guidelines and common budgetary definitions. Capable of building and maintaining good internal and external relationships.

Proven analytical capability, preferably in the costs environment.

Evidence of delivering work to stretching timescales.

Desirable

Experience of costing tools and methods by MoD

Experience of Working in MoD/Industrial Teams.

Knowledge of MoD Research procurement organisations and practices.

Familiar with influencing and engaging with senior management and stakeholders.

Track record of successful delivery of customer requirements.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Essential:

Technical degree or equivalent technical experience relating to Analysis.

Desirable:

Technical training in Systems Analysis/Engineering
