SAS System Test Lead - Financial Services - Manchester

My client is a large provider of financial services and is currently looking for a SAS System Test Lead to define and deliver a strategy for, and manage execution of, System Testing of a suite of data Load, processing and extract components mainly built using SAS tools, in order to provide mediation for customers impacted by a number of account issues.

AS PART OF THIS SAS SYSTEM TEST LEAD ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Define Test Strategy for multiple releases of code
- Produce a test plan and maintain for each release
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in testing for the whole SAS Design and Build function
- Manage a team of up to 4 Test Analysts
- Raise and triage defects and progress fixes with the development team

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS SAS SYSTEM TEST LEAD ROLE ARE:

- Test strategy and plan definition;
- System testing including use of automated test tools;
- Defect management include use of Test Director
- Significant exposure to data-based testing and validation - eg Conversion or ETL projects;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Numeracy and computer literacy (eg Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Able to analyse data and make decisions confidently
- Be highly organised and able to manage own workload to meet stretching targets and strict deadlines
- SAS 9 Base;
- Able to work as part of a team

DESIRABLE SKILLS FOR THIS TEST LEAD ROLE ARE:

- SAS DI Studio
- Unix
