SAS Programmer Job

SAS PROGRAMMER II needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bridgewater, NJ.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- As part of IS group function the candidate will serve as the principal SAS programmer for project to extend dataset retention period.
- Candidate will be responsible for eliciting and validating the processes that will automate the collection and retention of vendor data for the Sales and Marketing group.
- Design and built two distinct processes:
- Design and built a weekly process to merge business data into 15 distinct brands rolling 5 year datasets. This includes SAS Macro and UNIX script writing.
- Design and built a process to load historical data into the 15 rolling 5 year datasets.
- Assist Business Analyst in authoring the process documentation associated with the project.
- Assist in the design of test scenarios and test scripts; tailor testing strategy to meet client requirements.
- Work closely with the business analyst and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans/scripts serve customer needs.
- Be a point contact for all technical inquiries on the project.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5+) years of SAS development including Base SAS, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS, and SAS Micro Language.
- SQL programming skills desired.
- Data extraction, manipulation, and reporting experience.
- Experience working in Pharma and/or Healthcare industries strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Software Development Life Cycle for ETL Data Warehouse.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical commercial data - Health Care Providers, Health Care Organizations, SFA data, etc. preferred.
- Self-driven and self-motivated individual.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Details.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate data via numbers, trends and come to conclusions based on the findings.
- Strong experience in understanding business requirements.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - collect, organize, interpret data and analyze results.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field.
- Five (5+) years' experience coding in SAS 9.2 and above.
- Experience working on a UNIX platform with Shell script writing.
