Projektbeschreibung

This request for proposal is launched to find an SAP functional expert who is skilled in the following SAP modules:

Treasury & Cash Management (TR)
Finance (FI) (New G/L experience is not a requirement)
Business Finance & Consolidation (BFC)

Note that only candidates who are able to support TR and FI will be evaluated. However, we would be very well disposed towards candidates who also have experience of SAP BFC.

Environment:

About 200 accounting users located in Europe, Asia and Middle East from at least 12 accounting departments.

Mission based in Brussels
Ready to travel to sites occasionally when needed for short term missions to give courses or understand the specific requirements of some users

Scope:

The domain Financial Activities supports an SAP ERP release level ECC6:
The particular functionalities to support include the following from TR

Cash management
-Bank statements
-Cash Position & Liquidity Forecast
-Various payment methods- cheques, direct debits, transfers etc

Treasury & Risk Management
-Foreign Exchange deals
-Money market deals
-Front/Back Office (settlements/confirmations/revaluations/accruals)
-Liquidity Planner
-Credit Risk Analyzer

Finance
-Payments & Payment advices
-Legal & Central bank reporting
-Bill of Exchange processing
-Foreign Currency Revaluations

Business Finance & Consolidation (BFC)

The accounting model has a single worldwide operating Chart of Accounts and Operating Concern with continental Controlling Areas supporting business activities in Europe, Asia, Middle East and USA. The US activities are supported locally but global impacts have to be managed.

Mission objectives:

Management of system evolutions and corrections requested by the business and assigned by the Domain Leader to the Financial Activities Process Experts:
- Analysis of the request with different business representatives (Users, Key Users, Organization & Method Manager)
- Definition of evolution perimeter to avoid undesired side-effects and to keep a global business model
- Design of a solution maximizing the use of SAP standard functionalities and minimizing in-house specific developments while checking consistency with existing model
- Customizing (including the maintenance of structural data) and if needed, writing functional specifications for development
- Testing
- Transferring knowledge to Business Support team and preparing go-live support plan with them
- Delivering all necessary documentation and use of the evolution management tools (managing appropriate status and documentation)

Particular attention should be given to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

Contribution to and potential management of projects following project management methodology (depending on opportunities and existing workload)

Support:

Provide Level 3 Support to end users when Level 2 support team cannot process an incident
Work with incident management tool and promote coaching rather than intensive interventions in production system while ensuring knowledge transfer to Level 2 Support

Other:

Contribution to the retention of internal knowledge : writing technical documentation, sharing experience with internal team
Work when necessary with US team to share experience
Regular Reporting to the Domain leader

Technical skills:

Deep knowledge and minimum 3 years experience in SAP modules : TR & FI as shown in bold type above and the following other related tools

Basic knowledge of SAP BW
Knowledge of integration and potential impacts with logistics and other modules (SD/MM/CO)
Ongoing development of technical skills (new SAP functionalities, Business Process and Organization) is critical in staying competitive

Project location is Brussels.
Start is ASAP but flexible.
