SAP TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (DATA MIGRATION/BODS) - PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - ENGLISH SPEAKING

One of our blue chip clients is urgently looking for a SAP Technical Project Manager.

Strong management skills more important than current data migration hands-on experience

Overall:

Manage client and own resources against a plan;

Role covers not only our data ETL but also monitor and report on the client's cleansing/purification activity;

Support change impact assessments;

Strong organisational and planning skills;

Experience of BODS based migration a real benefit, but may be difficult to find someone with that experience.  Otherwise someone who can pick up an understanding of the BODS technology and approach quickly;

Experience of migrations into ECC (E2E logistics), CRM (bonus).

Consumer Goods experience a benefit; appreciation of the volumes and data dependencies.

Design Phase:

Understanding the current data environment;

Review data translations;

Identifying data gaps between current systems and new SAP system;

Review data conversion strategies;

Review programmatic

Review data cleansing/purification procedure, issues

Developing a realistic overall project schedule.

Build Phase:

Define, develop and test the data cleansing process described in the design phase. Contingency for additional data cleansing during testing and possibly a re-sequencing of conversions should be expected as unknown dependencies come to light;

Implementation of the data archiving concept.
