ROLE PURPOSE

- The role of the SAP Technical Architect includes the overall development, construction and enhancement of applications according to functional requirements, encompassing best practices and latest standards.
- Liaise with the Process owners and other work streams where required.
- Work closely with the functional analyst to write or review the technical design in line with functional specifications.

DIMENSIONS/KPIS

- Delivery of the application within agreed design specifications/quality parameters meeting functional requirements
- First time right delivery of the technical specifications
- Delivery of the application within agreed performance expected by end users

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

ACTIVITIES/TASKS DESCRIPTION: 

- Liaise with process owners to determine the functional and technical requirements of the required solutions.
- Prototype solution, evaluate feasibility of development, support offshore.
- Assess/plan workload, lead/coordinate the development and the delivery of the solutions in an international environment.
- Perform development activities on SC projects

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGES, AND SPECIALISATION):

MUST HAVE:

- Proven expertise in: SAP SUPPLY CHAIN MODULES
- Relevant experience in multiple development cycles and at least one SAP full upgrade cycle
- 5+ years of work experience in international development environment
- Knowledge or work experience of SCRUM
- Fluent in English

ADVANTAGE/ASSET:

- SCRUM Master
- Past implementations of PLM-RM SPI or SPI
- Relevant experience as a development coordinator

- SAP WM component
- SAP EWM COMPONENT

- Senior ABAP developer with minimum 5 years experience in full end to end cycle projects.
- Strong SAP Web Dynpro ABAP development skills utilising best practices and latest development standards.
- Strong SAP technical expertise.
- Knowledge of customising Web Dynpro applications within the enhancement framework.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
- Ability to assimilate information rapidly
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
