SAP/Remedy Project Manager, Alicante

An exciting opportunity is currently available in Alicante (Spain) for a SAP/REMEDY PROJECT MANAGER. This position is located in the Public Sector through an IT Service Provider.

We are looking for candidates with the following profile:

TASKS:

- Ensuring smooth evolution and adaptation of the applications in their portfolio, according to the business needs
- Planning and execution of maintenance services for the applications (updating, upgrading, improvements a. o.)
- Understanding the constraints of a design problem and identifying the trade-offs; the ability to communicate those trade-offs to fellow decision-makers
- Organizing and putting ideas into a tangible form with a focus on user and business objectives
- Applying IT quality plans and development methodologies as defined by the organization
- Collaborating with business owners to refine future software requirements
- Performing project and Change management, guided by the organizational Strategic plan
- Development and management of team
- Improving communication between business users and support teams
- Management of communication with software providers on various topics
- Collaborating with peers for harmonisation of management practices
- Collaborating with other Services for coordination of relations with vendors and third parties
- Monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement of performance (for services and teams)
- Performing feasibility studies, process analysis
- Keeping the knowledge of internal IT systems updated
- Supervising the work delivered by external providers
- Drafting a road map and contributing to the improvement and maintenance of information systems and applications

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

- University degree
- 6+ years of professional IT experience
- 5+ years of experience with SAP modules
- Good knowledge of Remedy tool
- Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies (PMP, Prince 2, ITIL, PMI etc.)
- Experience with deployment topologies (Client Server, n.tier, cloud etc.)
- Familiarity Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

- Good English (written/oral).
- Knowledge of Spanish an advantage.

This position is offered as a 220 per day freelance contract.
