SAP Project Manager- 6 month contract

Our client requires a SAP Project Manager to be based at their offices in Belgium on a 6 month contract. This is for a SAP Technical upgrade project.

Your role and responsibilities as the SAP Project Manager will be:

Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of SAP landscape technical upgrade and possible other infrastructural changes through planning, prioritization, financial management and communicating to the main stakeholders on progress against key outcomes (time, scope, quality, value and service level agreements).

. Define scope of the (upgrade) project, deliverables and detailed planning and schedule in agreement with IT strategy and business needs.
. Drive project requirements, priorities and deadlines, not just record and manage them.
. Ensures that regular progress reports are produced for key stakeholders in agreed formats and as required.
. Proactively manage changes in the project scope, identify potential issues and define contingency plans and mitigations.
. Responsibilities include leading professionals in defining support procedures, developing systems requirements; testing; training; and implementing practical business solutions.
. Coordinate the IT activities (infrastructure, development, interfaces, testing, data load, ) related to the SAP change initiatives that will be delivered by/together with the regional Centre-of-Excellence.
. Solve problems, prioritize deliverables and manage project scope with business customers.
. Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.

The essential skills and experience required for the SAP Project Manager are:

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
. Excellent SAP technical architecture and technical support documentation skills
. Program and project management to recognized standards eg PMI or equivalent
. Strong result driven attitude
. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
. Strong written and oral communication skills, combined with strong interpersonal skills
. Understanding of SAP Functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Support, Development)
. Understanding of SAP Components and their relationship to each other (ERP, BW, PI, SRM, Portal, Industry Solutions)
. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
. Ability to deal with ambiguity within a changing environment and experience within a Matrix organizational structure
. High integrity, work ethics and commitment
. Fluency in English language in addition to your mother language (Dutch/French) - both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly
