SAP Project Manager

SAP Project Manager, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
On behalf of one of our customers, a world leader in their industry sector, we are currently looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager, to lead a team of about 4-5 consultants, and 4-5 key-users, for a 1 year project (starting beginning to mid October, first contract is likely to be for 6 months). You will be based in their Sao Paulo offices.
Your main responsibilities will be as follow:
Manage the establishment, planning and execution of the project
Deliver the project on time, on budget and with required quality
ACTIVITIES - AREAS OF JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Scope the project and plan its activities
Prepare the project contract including proposed team structure, high level activity planning, budget, value creation and RACI
Aim to minimise scope and maximise value creation
Identify key stakeholders
Assemble and manage the team
Recruit the team (requires exec relationships outlined below)
Manage the people (performance management, environment management)
Assist with the reassignment of the team at the end of the project
Ensure clear delegation of activities within the team
Manage the project execution
Manage execution with delivery of agreed quality, scope, timing and budget
Mitigate risk and initiate corrective actions regarding resources, results, timing, budget and quality
Interaction with stakeholders
Build good relationships with execs and their teams to ensure correct sponsorship, buy-in for benefits, as well as to understand business needs
Provide clear reporting of progress/issues/risks/decisions with the nominated stakeholders
Manage the change process with customers (#1 stakeholder) to protect them from negative impacts and prepare them for process changes impacting them
Manage the change process in the business including identification and execution of Business Transformation, provision of requisite work instructions, and training in processes
Manage the transition from deployment to active operation
Prepare the business for cutover
Plan and provide post go live support
Ensure transition to the support organisation
Major skills
Strong networking skills are necessary as the project requires strong links to senior management in the deployment zone, as well as strong links to the global IT and business organisation.
Performance management is essential to make sure the project is a success (control/monitoring). Project planning and leadership
Other useful skills
Risk management/negotiating/Decision making/Problem solving skills and communication (to the business, the stakeholders, the project team, the central team etc.)
Desired professional experience
Project Management experience
Experience in a management role in a similar project
Previous project experience should include cross-cultural and cross-functional projects
Building of business cases
Team management
Experience in multiple business areas
Optional: SAP experience (deployment experience)
Work environment:
Very high level of contribution required

Frequent travels (possible)
