SAP Project Manager

My client a leading QLD employer has an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP Project Delivery Manager to join their team on a long term, contract basis.

This is a 12 month assignment, reporting to the ERP/Property Program Manager. You will primarily be responsible for managing an agreed plan of activities on the Program.

Requirements of the role include:

- Ensure that the SAP solution delivery enables business transformation initiatives.
- Project Management experience with the ability to support the design and effective management of project releases
- Manage SAP Realisation, Final prep and Go live phases, leveraging solution architects, Business SMEs, cross functional project leads, functional analysts, Business and Data Analysts, Technical Analysts and offshore vendor resources.
- Demonstrated ability of working within a vendor led and self managed implementation model.
- Contribute to effective release planning to align with desired benefits, business outcomes and ICT portfolio interdependencies.
- Provide support to the SAP Centre of Excellence in transition planning and management for each release

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Tertiary and/or appropriate qualifications (preferably in disciplines associated with project management) or substantial industry experience in a similar field.
- Experience in program, project management, architecture and delivery in a SAP environment
- Experience working in a program environment, appreciating and understanding the intricacies, complexities and competing priorities that occur in a complex program of work
- Experience with full life cycle SAP projects, with at least 1 successful implementation within a local government environment
- Good working knowledge of SAP modules as well as functional and process integration.
- Experience in implementation of Asset Management modules including integration to GIS systems
- Experience in the implementation of Mobility solutions particularly in the area of Plant Maintenance and Operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a particular emphasis on consulting, influencing and resolving conflict by working across organisational boundaries.
- Demonstrated program and project management skills with the ability to co-ordinate complex activities and resources effectively to achieve work goals, meet team deadlines and commitments.
