SAP Project Manager

My client, a large operation, based in the Midlands, seek a SAP Project Manager on an initial 6 month contract. This is open to both pro rata salary and daily rate contractors. This is an exciting project, with lucrative rates on offer. This role is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific Information Technology projects ensuring all those aspects are consistent with company strategy, goals, processes and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead project teams in the analysis, design, implementation and development of information systems.
- Support the initiation process for new project requests including analysis of possible solutions, resource, cost and schedule planning.
- Develop requests for proposals (RFP's) for external services.
- Twice monthly reporting on the status of all EMEA pipeline and active projects including risk assessments.
- Liaise with business owners to ensure effective communications and translation of technical requirements and/or applications of all systems across the organization.
- Management of the relationship with relevant external consultants, network and equipment suppliers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Proven track record of successful project management execution, including the project management of a minimum of one implementation life cycle of SAP. Prince 2 or PMI certification preferred.
- Significant experience with SAP in at least two modules, preferably in the supply chain area.
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to influence management and collaborate with others.
- Strong problem solving skills for developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives are required.

- The ability to prioritise tasks and be able to manage several projects and customers simultaneously
- The ability to interface with all levels of management.
