SAP Developer

My client a leading QLD employer is looking for an SAP developer to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of defined service levels for specific enterprise applications by providing customer focused, high level specialist advice and support.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Undertake SAP FI ABAP developments, unit testing and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with specifications and my clients development processes and standards.
- Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
- Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within the organisation by establishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with other technical domain specialists, application specialists and end users.
- Provide timely application support activity reports to the system sponsor and users.
- Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and deployment of application specific training packages.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Demonstrated skills and experience in SAP developer role utilising ABAP, Dialog Programming, SAP Script, SmartForms and XI/PI.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident/problem/test/change and configuration management in a SAP environment.
- Demonstrated ability in the provision of high level specialist advice on, and support for enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment.
- Well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions.
- Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical domain specialists, application specialists and end users.
