SAP BO Developer - 3 Month role in the Midlands

Next Ventures is urgently looking for a SAP BO developer for a role based in the Midlands.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Build and test BEx & BO reports, universes and dashboards in accordance with the specified requirements and design
- Share knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects with the broader Core MI team such that report designs are optimised for the reporting toolset

Key skills looked for:

- Good communicator, needs technical expertise but must be able to translate and speak in a business language
- Can cope with high work loads, demanding timescales and high change scenario
- SAP Business Objects reporting tools ideally v4.0. (XI 3.x would also be acceptable)  - Web Intelligence, Dashboards (formerly called Xcelsius), Crystal Reports, Analysis for Excel and Web (OLAP), Universe Designer
- Experience in building Universe on both SAP and non-SAP sources
- SAP Business Warehouse - BEx Query designer and BEx Analyzer
- Experience of SAP BI 7.3 and reporting from SAP BW
- Knowledge of SAPs BOBJ development roadmap (awareness in Mobile, Text Analysis, HANA integration)    

Nice to have but not necessary:

- Creating dashboards, reporting portals and reports ideally in a retail environment.
- Been involved in a MI transformation programme in atleast one organisation.
- Can bring best practices on report design into the organisation
- Ability to work with business users through the development of reports (requirements, build, test and go-live) in an iterative way and manage customer relationship. 
- Worked in a reporting 'centre of excellence'
- Experience of reporting in a large organisation

Start date: Immediate

Location: Midlands
Duration: 12 months + extensions
