SAP Basis Technical Architect - End-user, manufacturing organisation As part of the SAP Strategy and Architecture team you will be responsible for the SAP landscape providing SAP Basis technical design and project management for an established manufacturing organisation in a innovative technical environment. This SAP Technical Architect role requires a deep and broad background in SAP Basis/Netweaver and IT Infrastructure. Key responsibilities * Accountable for the creation of roadmaps, proposing and running prove of concepts, proposing investments to drive the strategy implementation * Work collaboratively with all relevant vendors to ensure that proposed architecture & design standards are in line with best practices * Actively support projects as a Project Lead Architect * Actively engage with the support organisation to ensure continues improvement on any architecture and design work * Follow the Architecture Common Process (TOGAF) and support the enhancement and further development of this * Initiate technical architecture reviews and provide recommendations to stakeholders via standards, guidelines and technical roadmaps * Assess & identify risks associated with differing technical options at both local & strategic levels and provide mitigation strategies * Take a lead role in the defining and communicating Infrastructure related architecture/design topics * Take a lead role in ensuring reusability of Architectural Building Blocks and Solution Building Blocks * Devise & develop presentations, toolkits, technical briefs and status reports for the stakeholder community * Actively engage with Enterprise Architecture and Segment Architects to ensure maximized alignment * Take a lead role when it comes to presenting insights and findings to senior leaders. Essential skills * A minimum of 8 years SAP Basis experience ideally * Lead a minimum of 3 full life cycle implementations * Proven experience as a SAP Basis Technical Architect * Proven experience in the implementation and design of SAP Landscapes using Unix (Solaris), Linux, and Windows Operating Systems and Oracle Data Base Administration * Strong knowledge and hands on Experience in Storage Area Networks (SAN). * Deep architectural understanding of Oracle Database/s * Real world experience' in SAP Basis/infrastructure implementations * Essential communication skills, both written & verbal * Project experience and thorough understanding working within a TOGAF environment * SAP Basis Certification and associated accreditations * Experience working within an ITIL framework * Stakeholder Management experience, comfortable presenting effectively up to CIO level * Previous experience in large scale landscapes Nice to have: * TOGAF certified * SAP Basis/Migration Certification * ITIL/Prince2 Certified For further information regarding this excellent SAP opportunity please contact Steven Winship at the Progressive SAP Practise on 0207 469 5255.
