SAP Basis Consultants - RHEL/Oracle

Our client requires SAP Basis Consultants in either Corby or Runcorn for a major SAP roll out project which involves the following activities:

- SAP System Copies using brbackup backup/restore or R3load export/import processes.
- Implementation of multiple time zones into the current SAP landscape
- SAP Batch schedule review
- Installation of ERP 6.0, BW 7.0 and CRM 7.0 project systems
- Implementation of support packages for all SAP components
- Language installations
- Implementation of SAP backups using 3rd party tools eg Netbackup
- Central User Administration
- Installation & Configuration of SAP Solution Manager 7.1 including Wily Introscope
- Business As Usual Support for current EMEA SAP Landscape (Non Production systems only)

EXPERIENCE

- The customer systems are hosted on RedHat Linux (RHEL)/Oracle therefore experience of Unix and Oracle is needed.
- Consultants should have at leastsolid experience in SAP Basis and have a good grounding in both SAP Netweaver (NW) ABAP, SAP NW Java stack systems and SAP Solution Manager (version 7.0 at the very least, preferably 7.1).
- SAP Basis Experience on multi-country rollout projects rather than just BAU environments (ie only doing SAP Basis support)
- Experience of SAP installations, SAP system copies and High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Does not require hand-holding, can function as a Lead. Must be able to demonstrate ownership of technical deliverables on previous projects. Evidence of customer facing experience, and experience of interfacing with third-parties - means communication must be clear

Locations are either Corby or Runcorn. You should be willing to be based at one of these sites, and be willing to travel to the others as part of the contract.

There is the possibility of overtime and this would consist of weekend working or evening work when changes need to be applied during a quiet time on the system, but advance notice would be given.
