SAN Engineer - EMC, Commvault

Based in Civic, working for a small to medium sized, friendly, social and fun government agency as the SAN go to expert.

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO:- - Design, implement and support Storage Technologies
- Design, implement and support backup systems in a geographically dispersed environment
- Manage and support email and Filesystem Archiving systems
- Perform capacity planning and performance monitoring of storage and backup system
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level Service Desk support as required
- Provide technical advice to other IT staff
- Participate in skills transfer as required
- Mentor junior staff

SELECTION CRITERIA DUE BY 8TH APRIL 2013.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a complex Microsoft Windows Active Directory based environment.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting SAN based storage technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting backup and archiving systems.
- Highly effective communication, negotiation, persuasion and representation skills.
- An ability to develop and maintain effective customer, business stakeholder and team relationships.

DESIRABLE:

EMC and Commvault systems experience would be an advantage.

Australian citizenship is a requirement of this role.

Negative Vet 1, NV1/Secret level clearance is preferred, however Baseline can be considered.
