Salaried GP - Prison Work

Dream Medical are currently seeking a UK experienced GP for a Prison position in East Anglia.

We are looking to identifying forward thinking and highly motivated GPs who are committed to providing high quality clinical services, sound medicines management and positively influencing re-offending rates by addressing acute and chronic health needs of prisoners.

Key Responsibilities:
•Maintaining the highest clinical standards at all times and in accordance with accepted good medical practice and the various clinical policies of the Service.
•Transmission of relevant clinical information regarding patient care to other healthcare professional s or agencies as required for safe patient care.
•Supervision of other clinicians within the service where required in matters relating to the treatment of patients.
•To deliver primary medical care as contracted in a timely manner
•Encourage the health and well-being of all clinical staff within the practice and promote efficient working methods
•Be involved in ensuring that all the relevant QOF, KPI and Enhanced Service targets are met
•Promote the application of standards, protocols and codes of practice as set by Royal College of General Practitioners, General Medical Council, Care Quality Commission all other Royal Colleges and Councils applicable to the staff within the service, including Department of Health, NHS England and local Clinical Commissioning Groups and other regulatory and standard-setting organizations
•Work closely with the Service Manager and Healthcare Manager to assist in the overall functioning and efficiency of the service
•Contribute to the development of new ideas, strategies and policies which will promote safe and efficient service delivery
•Promote good internal and external communications between clinical staff, prison officers and the Prison Governors.
•Comply with safety and security policies and procedures of the prison
•Assist the Service Manager to ensure that all registrations and revalidations appropriate to the personnel used by the practice are up to date and appropriate for the services provided.

A Criminal Records Check and clearance to work within the UK prison service will apply to this role. The working pattern is 37.5 hours per week.
