Safety Coordinator Job

SAFETY COORDINATOR needed for a 12 month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Laurel, MD.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION (20 HRS./WK.)

What You'll Be Doing:

- Lead in the development and implementation and management of a robust contractor safety program that meets and exceeds contractor safety framework.
- Carry out various small repair/preventative maintenance tasks
- Initiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into the Contractor Safety program
- Implement/modify programs and procedures to ensure contractor compliance
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
- Work with contractors on related EHS issues
- Implement contractor audit program
- Conduct EHS education programs for Contractors
- Implement Contractor tracking program
- Implement Contractor scope of work review and assure all EHS requirements for job are met ie Hot Work Permit
- Implement Contractor feedback review with site
- Implement and manage Contractor sponsor program
- Maintain and Update Contractor record keeping

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Must have EHS and/or Safety background within manufacturing environment
- Project Management Experience
- Can implement Safety programs and trainings

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Construction background
- Handyman skills; plumbing, basic electric, carpentry, drywall, painting.
- EHS skills
