Ruby on Rails Developer - Hamburg - Freelance Role - €60-€70 per hour - 6 month contract

My client is a market leading mobile and web focused retail eCommerce company based in Hamburg.

Due to this growth, they are now looking to strengthen their web development teams, and in particular grow their Ruby on Rails team. You will be involved in all stages of the product's software life cycle and also assist in the development of new features, components and implement these accordingly.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure continuous improvements on the platform
- Develop scalable Front End and Back End applications using Ruby/Ruby on Rails
- Collaborate with Front End JavaScript Developers and Product teams in a Scrum environment
- Delivery of high quality code, with little maintenance required

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Practical experience using Ruby on Rails, or Ruby
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery
- Focus on all details and you ensure scalable, high performance code
- Familiarity of Front End technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- You have worked in a Scrum/Agile environment
- Clean and skilled communication skills - written and spoken, ability to speak and lead
- Strong ability to work individually or as a part of a team
- Motivated and passionate way of thinking, and always striving to develop and grow within the company
- Meticulous in your nature, you apply yourself to the fullest in order to meet goals and targets
- Fluent English and German
