I am looking to hire a Ruby developer for one of the public sector client. Below is the Job description of the same

LOCATION: Inner London: Skipton House

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Must be able to demonstrate a good ability to work closely with Health and Social Care Information Centre staff and customers involved in projects at all levels.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines. Dynamic and proactive attitude, must demonstrate an ability to identify problems before they arise and react swiftly to ensure the appropriate action is taken.
- Ability to contribute to the development strategies for complex systems.
- Ability to write clear, concise reports using a good standard of general English and to communicate clearly to all levels of management.
- A competent user of email, word processing, databases, presentation, spreadsheets and Internet.
- Experience of developing applications using Ruby technologies especially with reference to World Wide Web Consortium standards.
- Must have proven ability to design, code, test, and document complex programs/components working from a prioritised backlog, using agreed standards and tools.
- Must have proven experience in development using: Ruby on Rails; and experience of using Kanban/Scrum to improve the velocity of delivery.
- Must be competent in the use of most of the following development tools.
-Must be competent in the use of most of the following development tools/platforms/frameworks: Ruby on Rails; Sinatra; jQuery; JavaScript; Cascading Style Sheets; HyperText Markup Language; JavaScript Object Notation; Bootstrap; Git/GitHub; RSpec; Cucumber; Capybara; Linux; Web Services; RESTful API; Structured Query Language; and NoSQL.
