RPG Programmer (AS400)- South Devon

I am currently looking for an experienced RPG IV/ILE programmer/developer/application Support to assist with the redevelopment of our bespoke vehicle delivery system.

Based in South Devon the candidate will be working within a small development team.

Knowledge & Experience

Primary

* Experience of application development.
* Working knowledge of OS400 operating system.
* Knowledge of using a combination of RPG IV/ILE, RPG III, CL, Subfiles and Embedded SQL
* Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
* Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
* Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts.
* Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Highly self motivated.
* Keen attention to detail.

Secondary

* Knowledge of logistics would be advantageous.
* Working knowledge of EDI formats and transport methods would be advantageous.

This poisition is paying up to £36,000
