Road/Traffic Engineer

ROAD/TRAFFIC ENGINEER with CHARTERED ENGINEER STATUS, required for INITIAL 3 MONTH CONTRACT with PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANISATION in ABERDEEN.

Duties will include:

- Lead a team of professional and technical staff working on various road maintenance, traffic management, structural, civil and road safety projects
- Project manage various road, transport, structural, private and other associated programmes of works, directing in-house teams and external consultants in the investigation/feasibility, option preparation, contract administration and site supervision (includes monitoring of progress, contract expenditure measurement and payment certification)
- Develop and manage quality systems, data handling and record storage systems and information systems to facilitate effective service delivery
- Carry out inspections, surveys and technical assessments

Experience required:

- Chartered Engineer status MICE. or Incorporated Engineer (I. Eng) plus 5 years relevant experience.
- One or more aspects of Civil, Structural, Road Maintenance, Transportation or Traffic Engineering, relevant to their work section
- Working within ISO 9001 standards
- Full Driving Licence
