RN/COHN or Occupational Health Nurse Job

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for an RN/COHN OR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE to join our client in Fort Wayne, IN.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- This position is in an employee Health Clinic setting.
- This is a Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30 pm.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prevention of illness/injury and protection from work related and environmental hazards.
- Provide the following:
- First aid
- First Response
- Evaluations and treatment of on-the-job injuries.
- Counseling, health and wellness education.
- Lab testing and immunization services.
- Venipuncture
- Respirator Fit test
- Hearing/Eye testing

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Workers compensation experience is a plus
- Two to four (2-4) years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational/employee health.
- Must have current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Indiana Board of Nursing
- Preference for a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist (COHN-S) from the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Emergency Room, critical care, urgent care experience is considered.
