I have a fantastic opportunity for a enthusiastic Risk Manager to join a rapidly expanding Financial Services Company based in Hampshire.
You will look at the management of the Risk Development function, and as part of a team of 12, you will support the Head of Risk & Analytics and manage the Risk team which consists of 3 people. You will also line manage other reports when required.
You role will involve increasing revenues and profitability via activities of predictive analysis, risk pricing, strategy and model development. You will support critical commercial and investment decisions and report back effectively to the Head of Risk and Analytics. Good communication and soft skills are required, as you will be building external relationships with data & modelling partners, intermediaries and sellers.
You will also project manage Risk Development deliverables and provide views on the market and economic risk and the effect on the business.
Skills required: - Graduate in a relevant discipline such as Statistics, Science, Economics, Engineering, Maths - Advanced Excel & statistical analysis tools such as SAS and SPSS - Ability to create complex models, scorecards and applications - Use of data mining & analytical tools - Ability to understand relational databases - Background in consumer finance or banking - The ability to present at senior management level - Project/line management experience
