POSITION: Risk Consultant, Customer & Compliance Risk
JOB TYPE: Contract
SKILLS: Specific knowledge of prudential risk and wholesale conduct, Financial Services at a senior management level, good understanding of 2nd line oversight, ideally relevant experience in a similar role (Audit, Compliance, Risk, Oversight), proven ability to implement change
LOCATION: This role will be based in Swindon, Wiltshire, which is commutable from Cirencester, Gloucester, Oxfordshire, Bath, Bristol, Reading, Berkshire, Newport, Cardiff
DURATION: 6 months
RATE: £450 - £600 per day (depending on level of experience)

Outsource UK are actively seeking to recruit a Risk Consultant for a 6 month initial contract based with our key financial services Client, that we are working with as a first tier supplier.

THE JOB:
A great opportunity has arisen in the Group Compliance Division to shape and deliver our client's oversight capability and drive the embedding of our Risk Management Framework to support business strategy. As a Risk Consultant within the 2nd line oversight you'll help to develop and implement key policies, control and risk management practices to manage compliance risks, with particular focus on prudential risk and wholesale conduct.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

A MORE TALENTED PERSON:
Reporting to the Head of Customer & Compliance Risk Oversight, you will:
-Leverage your subject matter and risk expertise, work with a team of peers and stakeholders to provide oversight of the design (content) and implementation of key risk management policies, control frameworks, risk measures and monitoring capabilities for prudential and wholesale conduct risk across the group.
-Representing 2nd line oversight - provide, support, review & challenge to the 1st line key control functions and business areas to ensure achievement of objectives and outcomes.
-Act as a Co-ordinator for the oversight of required deliverables to implement risk management framework for prudential and wholesale conduct and 2nd line oversight framework and methodologies.
-Manage senior stakeholders (including other oversight functions) and peers to ensure buy-in, effective communication & reporting and embedding of new risk management practices.

To join, you'll need to have prior experience working in Financial Services at a senior manager level with specific knowledge and experience in prudential risk and wholesale conduct. You will also need to have a good understanding of 2nd line oversight and ideally have relevant experience in a similar role (Audit, Compliance, Risk, Oversight), coupled with a proven ability to implement change.

You will be a confident communicator with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders up to and including Divisional Directors. You will also have a track record of managing risk within an organisation and will understand the importance a risk culture brings within a large business.
