CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY - RISK ANALYST, AML OPERATIONS - EDINBURGH- FINANCIAL SERVICES

My client a top tier bank based in Edinburgh requires a Risk Analyst to support the implementation and management of the AML(Anti-Money Laundering) Operation's Risk framework.

SKILLS:

You will need to have:

- Understanding of the financial services industry with focus on operations
- Awareness of regulatory and legislative developments including AML/Sanctions compliance
- An in depth knowledge of operational risk, governance and risk management methodologies
- A good knowledge of the business processes employed across Group Services
- Process design methods

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support AML Operations regional and functional risk management teams, assisting in the effective implementation of the Operational and Regulatory Risk frameworks
- Contribute to risk management frameworks across AML Operations.
- In conjunction with business and process owners, ensure the successful mitigation of identified risk from the risk log, audits, investigations and specific loss events.
- Manage and maintain the minor rated risk log and ensure risk owners adequately and timely
- Ensure all AML issues management documentation is complete and accurate, and reflected in Orbit.
- Provide support to the Risk Manager and issues owners for identifying control weaknesses and developing issues actions plans.
- Maintain close interaction (eg attending relevant fora) with Group Services regions and functions in relation to input/assessment of issues impacting upon the business Risk profile.
- Provide effective support and guidance to the business regarding co-ordination of Risk activities, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure robustness of process/procedure.

Previous experience in Financial Services is mandatory - RATE: £300

CONTRACT: 9 months
