RF Technician Job

RF TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh 's client located in Rochester, NY.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Knowledge of RF, Analog, and Power Supply Circuits
- Troubleshooting to component level.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide engineering technical support activities for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Troubleshooting of boards and fixtures.
- General soldering and placement/replacement of fine pitch discrete parts.
- Building of fixtures/cables/misc. assemblies.
- Prototype construction.
- Bread-boarding.
- Parts ordering.
- PWB rework and modification.
- Documentation.
- Circuit and radio testing.
- Equipment locating and gathering.
- Board, radio, fixture, and accessory tracking for all developmental phases of the project.
- Configuration management activities related to releasing the product and it's various sub-assemblies to production.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, debugging and repairing complex electrical equipment.
- Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, and others.
- Must have experience with digital, analog, and RF circuitry.
- Ability to self-manage priorities is a key success factor.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new assignments is a key success factor.
- Must have proven problem solving, prioritization and planning skills.
- Must be well organized.
- Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with complex development programs.
- Experience with manufacturing/production support.
- Schematic capture.
- PWB layout and fabrication.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of radios is preferred.
- Knowledge of RF, analog and power supply circuits is preferred.
- Experience on Tactical Communications programs is a plus.
