Projektbeschreibung

The RF Technician is tasked with assisting all fellow technicians with the installation of DAS antenna systems. The RF Technician will focus on supporting business line profitability, quality, and customer service goals. The RF Technician will be responsible for executing specific tasks/assignments with respect to the installation of distributed antenna systems including installation of connectors, cabling, antennas, head-end and remote electronics, etc. Additionally, the RF Technician must have experience in Distributed Antenna Systems and successfully commissioned repeaters/BDA's and fiber optic systems (ADC/MobileAccess/Andrew).

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensuring professionalism is maintained at all times including adhering to the company's dress code and attendance policy.
- Recording time spent each day working on individual projects into the company's time reporting software.
- Responsibly managing project expenditures and properly reporting/coding expenses to the respective projects.
- Ensuring any project related expenses are in-line with project's budget.
- Following specific instructions and general guidance from the Project Foreman for all projects.
- Assisting in inventorying project materials, loading/unloading equipment, and the installation of DAS equipment.
- Using good judgment at all times to ensure high customer satisfaction, timely project completion, and tightly managed project expenses.
- Adhering to company installation standards and operating procedures.
- Commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting wireless repeaters/BDAs and Fiber Optic Distributed Antenna Systems (ADC/MobileAccess/SOLiD/Andrew)
- Performing coaxial cable sweeps and interpreting results to identify installation and/or material defects.
- Teaching fiber DAS commissioning procedures to other employees.
- Meeting 100% of customer SLA's (service level agreement/due date) excluding extenuating circumstances with zero customer complaints and quality defects.
- Following the manpower tracker and communicating effectively with Project Foreman regarding schedule.
- Ensuring that all company and team emails are read and responded to in less than 24 hours.
- Assisting in the development of processes to save time and improve team efficiencies.
- Completing timesheets, expense reports, and per diem submissions in a timely manner.
- Reconciling reports in a timely manner while meeting installation/project obligations.
- Ensuring proper communication with all team members on a project.
- Communicating effectively on daily basis with the Project Foreman.
- Attending regular meetings with team members to promote communication and on-site efficiencies.
- Driving effective communication.
- Attending "toolbox" monthly safety meetings.
- Keeping informed on and wearing, when warranted, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

SKILLS

Education and/or Experience:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Experience with large--scale, low-voltage projects strongly desired. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an RF Technician required. A commissioning certification from a reputable repeater/BDA manufacturer (ADRF, R-Tron, CSI, GST, etc.) needed. Experience performing coaxial cable sweeps and interpreting sweep results is required. Hands-on experience in commissioning coax and fiber optic DAS systems for one or more major Wireless Service Provider (Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon) required. A commissioning certification from MobileAccess, ADC, Andrew, or SOLiD.

Employee must possess basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Employee must quickly become proficient in navigating websites. Employee must demonstrate the ability to think critically and make logical decisions in the field. Employee must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Employee must be able to take direction from the Project Foreman and execute tasks with minimal hands-on supervision. Employee must possess basic financial aptitude of budget and cost analysis. Employee must speak fluent English. The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs is required.
