Retail Solutions Architect - Services & App Dev - £750 per day

Large Ecommerce client in Hertfordshire is looking to secure the services of a Solutions Architect for services and application development on a 6 months contract ASAP.

Successful candidates will be required to:

* Lead the architecture, design and build of strategic services for n-tier web based apps, for major projects working with closely with onshore and offshore teams

* Have in depth technical experience of a number of the following; C# .NET, services design and development, Domain Driven Design, , event and messaging APIs, Oracle, SQLServer,Content Management Sysytem

* Had exposure to Agile development and continuous integration/build and test automation toolsets

Candidate Profile:

* Have a proven track record in the design, development and integration of major services/applications.
* Excellent architecture and design skills, able to convey complexity in a simple manner
* An understanding of business processes, practices and approaches
* Experience of Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, UML, component and class modelling, data modelling, information and Integration architecture
* Experience in working with agile methodologies / test driven approaches for software delivery
* Able to convey complex concepts using standard approaches
* Breadth of understanding across a wide range of technologies and practices to ensure the right approach is taken to address the specifics of the requirements
* Experience of making application or technical decisions and working manage trade-offs.
* Strong understanding of design and architecture patterns and how to apply them
* Strong understanding of one or more of infrastructure, applications and information architecture
* Identifying, communicating and managing architectural risks and issues
* Experience/Knowledge Retail andr e-commerce is beneficial but not essential

* Ability to lead and mentor
