Research Technician III Job

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN III needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CARLSBAD, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Laboratory experience
- Glove box experience
- MSDS experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This person will work in a lab environment and may be working with various products that are either under development or in the pilot phase of manufacturing.
- Handling of hazardous chemicals and waste.
- Working with and filling stainless steel vessels with chemical.
- Purifying chemicals and preparing chemical samples for shipment.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and practices.
- Inventory control.
- Maintaining a safe and orderly laboratory is required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Interested candidates should be meticulous, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and have previous experience working in a laboratory environment with reactive hazardous chemicals.
- Candidates must be able to read, understand and use basic information contained in Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Must be able to interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Familiarity with working in a glove box.
- Basic computer skills are a must.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
