RESEARCH INVESTIGATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Providing key cell, and molecular biology support for translational medicine programs
- Design and execute experimental procedures, under limited supervision
- Contribute to the progress of the program through innovative research
- Exercise technical discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments
- Demonstrate good understanding of the techniques and tools required for assigned responsibilities
- Maintain excellent laboratory notebook records on experiments
- Keep up with current scientific literature in the field
- Review data, interpret study results and trends
- Assist in the management of day to day activities in the laboratory, including biological sample handling and tracking, chemical inventory and equipment maintenance
- Performing gene expression and cytokine analysis and other bio-analytical assays including qPCR, ELISA, etc.
- Perform tissue culture experiments, maintaining cell lines etc
- Handling of biohazardous materials
- Share data in discussion groups and team meetings
- Preparing technical reports, monthly reports, and study summaries of assigned projects, as well as regulatory related correspondence as needed; giving verbal and written presentations internally (project team & governance board meetings, etc.)
- Work to build and maintain relationships across functions areas, including preclinical teams, formulation innovation, formulation development, and clinical operations.
- Provide clear communication both orally and in written form to provide comprehensive progress reports and explain complex experimental issues to internal and external audience as appropriate.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- PhD or MS in Pharmacology, Biology, or Medical Sciences with a strong emphasis on cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacology or immunology.
- Excellent oral communication skills to clearly explain complex issues and progress reports to a variety of audiences across functions levels at both internal and external meetings.
- Excellent written communication skills to provide comprehensive progress reports.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.
