Research Associate Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for RESEARCH ASSOCIATE to join our client in South San Francisco, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- We are seeking a contractor to support drug discovery in the Small Molecule Pharmaceutics Group.
- This position spans responsibilities from the drug discovery stage to early and late development.
- The candidate will provide support to early and late stage development.
- The candidate will provide support in preformulation and physicochemical characterization, including polymorph, salt, crystallization, and co-crystallization screening.
- Additional responsibilities include general laboratory duties.
- Ability to interpret X-ray powder diffraction, DSC, TGA, DVS, and microscopy data is a plus.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BA/BS/MS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Material Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a preformulation and formulation or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team oriented, dependable self-starter.
- Ability to followed detail verbal and written instructions.
- At least six (6) months laboratory experience, preferably in a testing environment.
- Able to apply analytical skills and judgment in assessing the quality of data.
- Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and meet timelines efficiently and productively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
