Reporting Analyst

The Reporting Analyst will support the ongoing needs of the Reporting and Analytics Team in a day-to-day capacity with core business systems/processes. In addition, this position will support the future needs of the business by assisting in identifying opportunities in systems/process/report design and implementing new changes to drive at better efficiency for the group. This will include assisting in identifying the business requirements, documenting, scoping implementation, developing reports, and ultimately driving through implementation directly or indirectly through partnership with other functional groups in the client organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in design and implement enterprise reporting and Business Intelligence solutions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the business processes and work with the Business to define requirements that will drive efficiencies, taking into account the entire picture as well as the details.
- Utilize development skills to build (code) and unit test new report functionality with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
- ETL using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Develop reporting.
- Support and enhance existing reporting capabilities.
- Manage own task list and appropriate prioritization within overall team, department and company requirements.
- Maintain documentation for changes/enhancements to reports.
- Provide regular reporting to management on progress and ensure that critical items are escalated as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Business Intelligence/Analysis and Data Warehousing
- 3+ years of experience with SQL development
- Experience with creating reporting marts
- Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data models
- Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Ability to conceptualize, document, and communicate solutions to meet business objectives
- Ability to work under pressure, to fixed deadlines and a flexible approach to working hours, where required, to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to inspire confidence from users and colleagues
- Excellent organization, planning and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Methodical, accurate and with attention to detail
- Willingness to accept ownership of problems/issues and see them through

DURATION: 8 months with possible extension and possible conversion to Contract to Hire.
