Reporting Actuary Contractor Needed

A Leading Financial Services Company are recruiting for a Reporting Actuary who will either have a background in financial reporting or actuarial modelling because they will be expected to contribute strongly to gathering and defining both statutory and regulatory requirements.

THE REPORTING ACTUARY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

* A strong knowledge of common actuarial terms and processes within a life insurance environment including the common characteristics of annuities.

* A strong knowledge of financial asset types and their key constituents

* Previous experience of defining and documenting financial process requirements

* Experience of financial accounting and reporting

* Experience of managing financial data through processes and systems.

* A generally strong financial industry background

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Previous experience of Asset Liability Management (ALM)

* A good knowledge of financial modelling within a life insurance context

* A fair knowledge of current insurance regulatory reporting requirements or previous experience in working on regulatory projects in the wider financial industry
