Reporting Accountant, Insurance/Financial Services

REPORTING ACCOUNTANT, INSURANCE/FINANCIAL SERVICES, SOUTH WEST

REPORTING ACCOUNTANT role for FTSE 100 FINANCIAL SERVICES company based in the SOUTH WEST. This is an initial 6 MONTH contract, paying 400-450 a day.

Candidates should have a good understanding of statutory and regulatory financial reporting, including IFRS and UK GAAP, have used a variety of different systems and have been involved in systems integration/data migration projects.

We are looking for a reporting accountant with a financial reporting background, that also has good experience of:

- Change Management: experienced in managing change within a business unit, and in defining/re- engineering existing and new processes
- Data mapping: experience of dealing with large volumes of data & mapping it between finance systems
- Testing: determining and documenting a test strategy and experience of end to end testing

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- PEOPLE WITH FINANCIAL SERVICES EXPERIENCE ONLY!
- Qualified Accountant (ACA or CA or ACCA or ACMA or CIMA)
- Statutory and Regulatory reporting experience
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare PRA returns
- Been involved in system/data transfer
- General Ledger knowledge and experience
