Report Developer

A fantastic opportunity for a less experienced developer to learn, develop and progess within a huge global company.

The Report Developer is responsible for the creation, documentation, and support of standardized reports from the reporting databases. Contributing to the identification, sharing and implementation of best practices and helping to shape the BAU and development process is a core requirement of this role

Reporting Experience:

* 2-3 years minimum working experience on SQL query writing
* 1 years minimum working experience on Report development in Crystal and Business Objects
* Solid understanding of stored procedures, their use and development
* A good understanding of building, modifying and maintain Universes
* Exposure to the development full life cycle, including

* Gathering requirements
* Building all components of reports
* Promotion through to production
* BAU (second or third line support)

* Exposure to versioning control applications

Personality: The candidate must be a self starter, a quick learner and be able to work in a fast moving environment whilst retaining a high level of integrity.

The candidate must be team player, able to adapt to different situations and assist colleagues as necessary.

The candidate must have excellent problem solving/analytical skills. It is imperative that the candidate shares knowledge and enthuses colleagues with a can do attitude.

The candidate must have the aptitude to work within a structured environment and keep documentation up to date.

Communication: The candidate must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Able to constructively challenge existing or proposed processes by demonstrating any rationale and analysis.

Tools: Microsoft SQL Server and Business Object Reporting Tools
