Repair Technician Job

REPAIR TECHNICIANS are needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilson, NC.

The Big Picture:
- The Repair Technicians will remove extinguishing agents from fire extinguishers, disassemble, rework, test and otherwise complete assemblies for return to service.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Complete and maintain detail repair action forms and tags.
- Inspect and fault isolate returned materials.
- Perform routine repair activities on fire extinguisher equipment.
- Perform required testing and maintain results as required.
- Expedite the flow of repair activities.
- Read and interpret drawing and procedures.
- Responsible for reporting to supervisor any serious defect or other unairworthiness condition discovered in articles processed through the Service Center.
- Unpacking and initiating repair records for items to be repaired.
- Packing and processing material for return to customer.
- Input customer requirements and data into Access database.
- Itemize parts requirements for repairs, initiate necessary documents to properly control the repairs process.
- Perform hydrostatic testing per the requirements of 49 CFR on DOT specification pressure vessels.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with vehicle or aircraft fire extinguishers, mechanical skills, painting and welding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Must wear appropriate Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
- Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Pushing and pulling up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent standing, sitting stooping; occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching.
- This position is a six month contract, paying between $13 - $16 per hour on first shift.
