Progressive Global Energy are currently seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer for a top oil and gas company providing integrated services across the oil and gas asset life cycle in 29 countries worldwide. This role would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with broad multi discpline knowledge to progress there career path into UK oil and gas. Primary Role * working within the companies operations and maintenance support team to improve reliability and availability of installation safety and business critical equipment. Responsibilities * participate as a member of the maintenance development team in delivering production related performance targets. * develop excellent working relationships with offshore and onshore production operations, the technical authorities, verification engineers and discipline engineers and others as appropriate * maintain and implement a fit for purpose root cause analysis system for analysing significant equipment failures. Ensure relevant staff have the expertise to effectively utilise the system. * facilitate root cause learning from major incidents so as to identify and implement actions to prevent repeat failures. * maintain a date base of significant incident root cause failure assessments and status of follow up actions. The database should preferably form part of existing systems. * review Business & Safety Critical Systems & Equipment and in consultation with operations staff identify equipment "bad actors" on each installation and implement viable equipment improvement programmes to improve equipment reliability. * monitor unplanned down time and failure modes of installation "bad actors". * whenever possible utilising existing information systems and processes in consultation with production operations. * coordinate the provision of effective fit for purpose condition monitoring services and ensure that the information is effectively managed and utilised. * work with relevant interfaces to ensure that input to and changes to IAP activities are provided in a timely manner and that consequences are mitigated and reflected in an updated IAP. * provide technical input to the facility risk registers. Issue identification and prioritisation. * ensure compliance with the stage gate and change request processes. * ensure that contracts for the provision of Reliability Engineering support activities are effectively managed. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience * experience of offshore operations * excellent knowledge of reliability engineering, associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislation * contract management experience * good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner. * a service mindset * ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Knowledge * preferably degree qualified, minimum Technical Education HNC/HND with relevant offshore experience * relevant technical experience gained within a production operating environment * UKCS BOSEIT/MIST qualified This is a full time position based in Aberdeen.
