Release Manager

JOB ROLE:

The primary functions of the role are to ensure that all releases are executed in a standard, auditable, safe and controlled manner. You will be involved with a wide range of technologies and will work closely with Release Management and Platform Support teams to deploy packages and automated functions in controlled environments. 

KEY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support the build activities of multiple teams, delivering multiple releases of services and applications
- Seek improvement opportunities in areas of software build efficiency, code automation, quality and process improvement
- Review and assess the risk of changes throughout the release process
- Responsible for improving both the build process and branching convention
- Work with the test team to integrate continuous integration into the build process
- Ability to coordinate multiple work streams for a release
- Good communication skills
- Experience using version control systems (SUBVERSION, CVS, ETC.)
- Familiarity developing on UNIX/LINUX
