Release Engineer - DV Cleared - Hudson/Maven/GIT etc

We have a new opportunity for a RELEASE ENGINEER to work for an exciting and rapidly growing blue chip company in GLOUCESTERSHIRE. This role will be on a 3 month contract. For this role you will be required to hold a DV CLEARANCE.

JOB DESCRIPTION

APPLICATION TOOLS SUPPORT

- Specify/establish a comprehensive toolset, based on corporately supported tools such as GIT, HUDSON, MAVEN or other appropriate tools.
- Ensure these tools are used for baseline management by all dev teams.
- Provide support & guidance on the use of config/release management tools.

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT PROCESSES

- Establish/maintain processes for packaging and publishing software components into viable releases.
- Ensure software repositories remain accessible across the dev community whilst enforcing the quality of contributions from dev teams.
- Advise and control software configuration management practices

APPLICATION PACKAGING

- Package the release from dev teams
- Automate the installation of each release
