Release Build Engineer (MS Build)

RELEASE BUILD ENGINEER (MS BUILD) - DUBLIN IRELAND. The role is to work on site for one of Ireland's largest Government Sector Sites. The role could be a long term contract role.

THE ROLE:

-

Release and Deployment management, with a focus on increasing automation.
-

Automating the build, Continuous Integration (CI) and deployment processes;
-

Supporting existing automated build, release & test solutions, and maintenance of server environments.
-

Coordinate releases including pre-release checks, validation of release change sets, release schedule, code freeze, etc.
-

Environments configuration/setup
-

Providing support to multiple teams

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

-

Experience in a Software Configuration Management, Development or Build Engineer role.
-

Experience using - NANT/MS Build/PowerShell/TFS in a build & deployment context.

Good understanding and experience of enterprise solutions that employ the latest Microsoft tools & products including:

- Visual Studio and TFS
- .NET Framework
- Windows Server
- IIS Applications
- SQL Server
- SharePoint Nice to have
- Good understanding and experience in Test Driven Development, Automated Testing Frameworks such as NUnit, FitNesse, MS Test, etc.
- Good understanding of Continuous Integration using Tools such as - Jenkins, Cruise Control, Team Build, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of all phases of development and test life cycle
