I am recruiting for a Regulatory Policy and Programmes Manager, for my public sector client, based in London, paying £410 a day Ltd on a 3 month contract. MUST BE SC CLEARED PRIOR TO APPLICATION

KEY TASKS

Support the Head of Regulatory Policy in delivering the work programme of the Regulatory Policy team. Make substantial contributions to a wide range of demanding projects, reporting to the Head of Regulatory Policy. These projects are likely to include: engaging with contractors to ensure their reporting on qualifying contracts complies with the Regulations and statutory guidance. Providing the insight and tracking of performance on contract reporting, playing a key role in the development of the annual compliance report. Drafting written reports and preparing presentations on issues raised in contract reporting that communicate clearly and simply, both to internal and external audiences. Reviewing the regulations that govern the activities to identify potential improvements that will make the business more effective, enhancing value for taxpayers while ensuring a fair return for industry. Developing the guidance to provide contractors on the regulations and the reporting requirements. Managing the database of contracts and the reporting templates that provide the input data so that the organisation builds a repository of knowledge and data on new contracts. Playing a key role on selected cross-team projects, such as responding to industry requests for opinions on specific contracts, requiring investigation teams to review evidence and produce answers within defined timescales.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Substantial experience of managing relationships and using policy or regulatory insight to deliver outcomes in a government or regulated industry context. This experience is likely to have been gained either as an auditor, management consultant or policy or regulatory adviser, working for a government department or an industry regulator. The ability to interpret complex rules and regulations and understand the underlying policy imperatives and to recommend sensible and pragmatic solutions. The ability to communicative persuasively and be influential with senior stakeholders internally and with industry and to have impact

A team player, able to work flexibly across multiple projects in a fast-paced organisation with a growing and unpredictable workload.
Education to at least degree level, or equivalent vocational/professional qualification
