Regulatory Accountant (Basel)

PRGs client, a successful financial service organisation based in the heart of Edinburgh have an opportunity to recruit a Regulatory Accountant, who will work with an established and experienced team.

You will ideally be a qualified accountant (will also consider part qualified with specific demonstrable experience), strong analytical skills, advanced MS Excel with some SQL skills (advantageous).
The role will report to a Senior Manager and will involve:

&bull End to end production and analysis of regulatory returns inc. COREP and PILLAR 3
o Preparation of supporting working papers
o Upload of manual adjustments (GDRS)
o Develop and maintain control checks
o Production of MI attestation schedules
o Ad hoc PRA returns
&bull Analytical review of divisional results with commentary
&bull Regular briefings with Manager, Senior management, key stakeholders
&bull Continuous business improvement &ndash developing effective controls / processes, simplification improvements
&bull Work with stakeholders to resolve regulatory issues
&bull Supporting regulatory change teams as SME and contributing to key projects across the division
