RECOVERY RESOLUTION - STRUCTURAL REFORM WORKSTREAM MANAGER (VP)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a top tier bank based in London on an initial 6 month contract.

JOB PURPOSE

The successful candidate will be accountable for managing a workstream within the Group Structural Reform Programme. The aims are to ensure collaborative delivery of the Structural Reform objectives, proper and appropriate governance, oversight and clear thinking around the workstream delivery. Secondarily, the role is there to ensure that there is appropriate communication from the workstream to the central teams so that issues, dependencies and key risks are clearly captured.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT - 50%

- Manage and co-ordinate workstream/s to ensure they collaboratively deliver those specific activities in the right timescale
- In supporting relationships in designated workstreams, be persuasive, a good listener and assimilator of ideas and perspectives
- Provide insight into structural reform activities to the designated workstream
- Ensure stakeholders fully understand and are committed to the project
- Manage stakeholder engagement and report key issues, concepts and activities from other workstreams to stakeholders

PROJECT DELIVERY - 50%

- Work with the PMO and programme director to ensure a co-ordinated approach to stakeholder issues and requirements is achieved
- Produce communications and briefings for stakeholders
- Work with the workstream lead and programme leadership team to ensure communications and delivery activities are properly co-ordinated for delivery of the Group objectives, taking into consideration the workstream responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate escalation of delivery/content issues and key risks to the appropriate member of the programme Leadership team
- Assist with the preparation of regular briefing materials for senior executives

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience of working in a fast paced innovative project within the global financial services industry
- Proven experience of contributing to a complex design and implementation project
- Ability to execute at speed and deliver with accuracy
- Appreciation of external regulatory developments as they relate to risk management
- Proven experience in creating powerful executive reporting materials for use in presentations to senior management and executives
- Proven influencing and relationship management skills at Director/Managing Director level
- Politically astute and able to understand the dynamics of large, complex organisations
- High integrity - able to deal with highly confidential and market sensitive information
- Ability to absorb and process knowledge quickly
- Strong desire to influence outcomes and a drive to deliver results
- Business and commercial awareness
- Proven Matrix and change management competence
- Solid subject matter expertise in one of the following: Legal, Technology or Operations, Investment Banking
- Education to degree level or equivalent with relevant supporting business and operational management experience
