Rates Control Manager - London - Contract

RATES CONTROL MANAGER - LONDON - CONTRACT - FINANCIAL SERVICES

My client, a leading financial services company, is recruiting for a Rates Product Control Manager, initially on a 3 month contract, based in London, City, to join the Product Management Finance Team.

OVERVIEW

* Detailed understanding of Rates Products including swaps, futures, options.
* Ability to work in a time-pressured and dynamic environment with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and concentration.
* Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management for dealing with people at all levels, across all disciplines.
* High level of desire and ability to follow up and resolve issues.
* Action orientated using team empowerment through delegation.
* Ability to multi-task: working on several projects and delivering results consistently.
* Accounting Qualification (pref).
* Strong IT skills in Excel/VBA/SQL (pref)

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

* Industry experience within financial markets.
* Preparation of daily balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
* Established understanding of balance sheet substantiation and co-ordination of a month end reporting schedule.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Production of Daily Pnl and associated MI.
* Attribution of Daily Pnl and commentary.
* Month end accounting including journal preparation and account reconciliations.
* Involvement in change initiatives to improve efficiency and or attribution quality.
* Review of new deals and deal adjustments with a focus on Summit reconciliations and trade bookings
