RAN Optimization Tetra

Sirius Telecom is setting up a team to perform drive testing and optimisation for a client, a major equipment vendor in Norway. For this team we are looking for experienced TETRA RAN Optimisation engineers.

SCOPE

Our client is rolling out a nationwide TETRA network for the Norwegian emergency services.

The following is to be done:

- Drive tests will be carried-out for areas and in the sequence defined by our client
- Drive test will be performed on the drive test roads defined by our client
- Drive test process will be controlled and managed by our client
- Our drive test team will consist of two members: driver and technician
- Drive test teams will be supervised and coordinated by a DT Coordinator
- Collected data will be transferred to DT Coordinator and then analysed by DT Coordinator and RF Optimisation Engineer on daily basis
- Drive test data will be analysed with accordance to specified requirements and results will be reported
- Identified network issues eg areas with indicated RSSI discrepancies or low VQ scores need to be investigated and appropriate network optimisation solution will be presented by RF Optimisation Engineer to Our client
- The suggested network optimisation solutions will be evaluated and implemented by our client
- Optimised area will be re-driven and drive test data will be analysed
- When an area has been tested, optimised and re-tested a final report has to be filed

TOOLS

Candidates MUST be experienced in working with:

- CatchAll - signal strength analyser
- IFPM QoS - voice quality tester
- ICS Telecom - planning tool
- MapInfo - GIS tool

SKILLS

- TETRA Radio Network optimisation experience
- Strong TETRA systems knowledge
- Experience with drive test data analysis and data post-processing
- Experience with drive test data verification with accordance to contractual requirements
- Experience with network optimisation, solving RF related issues and propose optimisation changes if required
- Experience with reporting optimisation progress and results
- Experience with generating drive test reports

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cooperate with DT Coordinator, DT teams and our client
- Drive test data analysis and data post-processing
- Drive test data verification with accordance to contractual requirements
- Optimisation of the network, solving RF related issues and propose optimisation changes if required
- Report optimisation progress and results to Our client
- Generate final drive test reports

Work place will be our clients office in Oslo. Initial contract is 3 months with possibility of extensions.

Candidates must be able to obtain Norwegian security clearance. Will be handled by our client.
