R Developer

R Developer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- University Degree in computer science, mathematics or statistics
- 5+ years' extensive working experience as a Software Engineer along with strong background in risk modelling or regulated risk
- Excellent knowledge of R and expertise in troubleshooting software issues on Linux and Windows is mandatory
- Good knowledge of Java, SAS and Matlab in addition to quantitative and numerical skills
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Developing software components as defined by the systems development life cycle
- Optimizing, writing and debugging existing code
- Maintaining of existing software and service infrastructure
- Engaging in customer demonstrations and reviews
- Working closely with other team members
