R D Technician

Immediate 3+ month contract opportunity a R&D Technician with expertise in Medical Device. This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. This is a great assignment in very convenient location of the Framingham, Massachusetts area!

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts
- Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures
- Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts
- Organize, coordinate, and execute fabricating and testing of prototypes/fixtures/products per engineering instructions
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience
- Small tool room machining capability for fixturing desired, but not required
- Experience with Fiber Optics a plus, but not required
- Microsoft office tools and good documentation practices to communicate results
